Car Seats

In light of a conversation I had earlier today, I wanted to share this about car seats.

Consider the car seat you have your child in right now. You can buy a 5-point harness car seat that fits a child up to 70lbs. If you can't afford it, there is help. See the website below.

Isn't it worth it to keep your child safe? Get rid of the booster and get a 5-point harness!

Anyone have recommendations for those whose vehicles were manufactured before the latch system was standard for all vehicles? Even if we bought a 5-point harness, we couldn't anchor it in our 1998 Mountaineer.

thank you for posting this. we had just graduated out kids to boosters and just weren't fully comfortable with the new seats, but we didn't realize there was another option for us. our regent car seats are shipping to us this week!

So glad to hear that!
Shannon wanted me to write and let everyone know that it is possible that the car manufacturer can add a piece to make tethering possible.

I had a friend who did this with her '97 Ford Explorer and the installation was free. She just had to call Ford and tell them she wanted the kit and the install and they took care of the rest.
