We had an awesome time in Thailand! Sam made tons of new friends. We got to see doctors in Bangkok for physicals and learned that Sam is quite little. He is in the 5th percentile for weight, but 50th for height. The doc said it was because he doesn't take long naps every day, because he is nursing, and also because we live in a high altitude. We just got back today and I weighed him - he seems to have gained two pounds over the last few weeks. I guess the warm weather and low altitude improved his weight. He IS developing well - so no need to worry. He is rolling over a lot now.
We went to a town called Rayong for the last leg of our trip with some good friends. Sam made friends with Anna, the Webel's youngest daughter. One of the above pictures is of him holding hands with her. We also got to visit a nature trail (the sign says "Nature Trial" above) with Erica and Elizabeth. It was so hot! But, an elephant walked by and we got to feed it, so we were thrilled with the circumstances.
Sam loved the beach, he loved swimming even more and he really loved the women who cared for him the first week we were in Thailand. They we especially kind and we were blessed to have met them. Thanks Linda and Emaleen!
I'll post more pics later!
