Sam maintained a fever of 100.4 all day yesterday. Just before bed it went down a bit. He had a terrible coughing fit around 2:30 in the morning that ended in him vomiting. This morning he's had some diarrhea too. His temp is still a low-grade fever.
His disposition seems pretty good despite all of that. I am really hoping the antibiotics are going to take his ear infection away today, and with it his fever.
Please pray for Sam today. Please thank your Sunday school classes and church for all their prayers this week.

This could be croup. (I really have no idea) but our 2 year old daughter just had this. She ran a low grade fever (like Sam's), she was "okay" during the day. Not her normal self, eating less, coughing a little, but she still played & was sweet. However at night the coughing was horrible. The only relief was turning on a hot shower and taking her into the bathroom (not shower) and letting her breathe the moist air for 10 - 20 minutes. This would calm her cough & allow her to sleep (and us) for 2 or 3 hours til the next fit. Once we had to bundle her up & take her out in the cold night air to stop an attack. We did this for about a week. Croup is a virus, so antibiotics won't cure it. Sometimes they give steroids if the linings of the lungs get too inflamed. Of course with Sam's special condition, I don't know how all that works. But if he has another coughing fit, you might try the steamy bathroom to prevent the throwing up. (Sticking his head in the freezer can work too instead of going outside) Prayers for you.
